What is your morning routine?

Just for fun....What is your routine as you face the morning of a long run?

  1. Bagel with pb and j. About 1/2 cup of coffee. Water. I try to get up about 1 1/2 to 2 hours prior to the run so that I've had time to wake up. I generally read during this time.

Vaseline the feet, put on my usual gear, throw a few kleenex in my pocket, as well as some sports beans and my ipod shuffle, and I'm off!

  2. wake up 1-1 1/2 hours before I run. Two pieces of whole wheat toast with PB & J, water too. Check my email while I eat this and read people's blogs :) Bathroom break, get dressed, hair up and contacts in. vaseline my feet and put shoes on last... head out the door with my chapstick, possible sweatshirt, and gu!

  4. Wake up 1 1/2 hours before and immediately eat oatmeal. Then drink gatorade while enjoying a quiet house. I use this time to mentally prepare for run with self-talk and visualization. Get dressed, vaseline toes, and fix hair. As a mom of a nursing infant, I then have to pump (Baby is finally cooperating, so I will be done with this step by marathon morning!). Pin on Gu packets, body glide around sports bra and waist, and last minute bathroom break. Head out door with gatorade and 1/2 a banana.
