water means life

Iowans for Africa, as of today, we're just about to spill over to $29,000 raised. That is so amazing!!! I was reading online about clean water wells...that a well can cost up to $8,000 for a community. With the amount of money raised by our team, that means we're close to providing 4 communities with a clean water well.

Do you know the difference a well can make? It means children might go to school because they're not spending hours of their day fetching water. It means the women of the village might engage in an economic venture because they're not walking for water. It means that the village's child mortality rate will be cut in half because there will be clean water for drinking. Clean water sets in motion an entire chain of events that can literally change the community.

Good work, team! Let's run on Sunday for Jesus who is the Living Water and for our friends in Africa...that they might have access to clean water and that they might know and proclaim the Living Water, Jesus.
